The Little World Museum of Man

  
It is an open-air museum and tourist attraction near Inuyama city, Aichi prefecture.









It was founded in 1970 as an anthropological museum and amusement park. Lots of buildings were built, according to the native style of over 22 countries.  







Visitors can also wear traditional ethnic costumes of France, Germany, Korea and Okinawa etc...



                      


The museum also holds some regular events and concerts that showcase the different countries exhibited.

Access:About 7 - 10 minutes from Narita airport by using Keisei line. A few minutes walk from Keisei Narita Station

Tojinbo







It is a series of basaltic cliffs on the Sea of Japan. It is located in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture. The cliffs stretch for 1 km (3,281 ft).




The cliffs' rocks were originally formed around 13 million years ago during the Miocene Epoch due to various volcanic activities.



Their shape has been formed through the years by erosion from sea waves.

Kegon Waterfall

It is the most famous of Nikko's lots of beautiful waterfalls. In fact, it is even ranked as one of Japan's three most beautiful falls, along with Nachi Waterfall in Wakayama Prefecture and Fukuroda Waterfall in Ibaraki Prefecture. 


  
It is the only exit for the waters of Lake Chuzenji. It can be seen from a free observation platform that is easily accessible on foot, as well as from a paid platform at the base of the falls. The paid platform is accessed via a 100 meter deep elevator and offers the more impressive views.  




 

Kegon Waterfall is also a popular autumn color spot. The trees around the waterfall are usually most colorful from mid to late October. In the winter, the waterfall is impressive as well, when it freezes almost completely solid.

Yamashita Park

This public park stretches about 750 meters along Yokohama's waterfront. It is about a hundred meters wide, and contains mostly of open green space. It was constructed after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.




Walking through Yamashita Park, it is hard to miss the massive ocean liner in the water beside the promenade. The ship is called the Hikawa Maru, and was first put into service in 1930 along the Yokohama-Vancouver/Seattle line. 






In 1960, after 30 years at sea, the ship was retired. It now serves as a museum, with informative displays and interiors in the style of the 1930s. 







Near the Hikawa Maru, Yokohama Marine Tower is also must-see. It is situated just beside the park and extends 106 meters into the air. The observatory also offers a 360 degree view, located 100 meters above ground.

Kururi Castle



The castle is located in Kimitsu, southern Chiba Prefecture, Japan.  At the end of the Edo period, the castle was home to a branch of the Kuroda clan, fuedal lord of Kururi Domain.


The original Kururi Castle was a mountain-top fortification built during the Muromachi period.  







In 1872, by orders of the Meiji government, the surviving structures of Kururi Castle were destroyed. The area, containing remnants of moats, earthen works and a well, became a park in 1955.


The current keep tower was reconstructed in 1979 to boost local tourism.

Inubosaki Lighthouse

It is located in Cape Inubo, in Choshi city, Chiba Prefecture. It is notable as one of the few lighthouses whose original lens was a first order Fresnel lens, the strongest type of Fresnel lens.



The lighthouse is registered as Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. It is located within the borders of the Suigo-Tsukuba Quasi-National Park.


                                

It is currently open to the public, who may visit a small museum at its base, and climb to the top for a panoramic view over the Pacific Ocean.
